Banta Rays

The Banta Rays are a rock and roll/indie band from St Helens. They were formed in May 2017.

They have a huge number of influences between them including Arctic Monkeys, Blur, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Iggy Pop, Jake Bugg, James, Joy Division, Oasis, Pulp, Royal Blood, Stone Roses, T Rex, The Beatles, The Black Keys, The Courteeners, The Cribs, The Cure, The Kooks, The Smiths, The Libertines, The Rolling Stones, The Strokes, The Vaccines and The Verve.

The Banta Rays are a covers band and their set list includes tracks by their many influences.

Chris Quinn had been the lead vocalist, however, on 19th October 2017, Chris decided to cencentrate on bass guitar and Matty Lamb joined the band as the new frontman. Chris Quinn also runs the annual Elefest at The Elephant in Thatto Heath, St Helens.

As of February 2018, The Banta Rays have not published any recorded music apart from a few live mobile phone videos, available on their Facebook page.
