Saints wary of threat posed by on-song Salford Red Devils
Published:
Description: SAINTS will be looking to see off an on-song Salford side who will be looking to complete the double and claim a victory on St Helens soil for the first time since 1980. Saints boss Justin Holbrook knows the threats, but is hopeful that the kick up the backside from last week, the good home form and the boost with the arrival of Ben Barba, albeit not currently in a playing capacity, will be the tonic they need. Holbrook said: ?We love playing at home. It is a great stadium and fanbase. ?I am looking forward to Friday. ?Salford areplaying well, they have a good back row, who are running hard and Michael Dobson and Robert Lui are playing well in the halves. ?If you are keeping Todd Carney on the bench they must be doing a good job. ?They are playing well as a team and coming off the back of a good Challenge Cup win. ?But we need to get our own game in order. ?We need to keep up our defence and ask some questions ourselves. ?It is probably better for us to play four of the five top sides now.  more...
