National Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Day is Saturday 18th March 2017.

The National Child Sexual Exploitation Awareness Day aims to highlight the issues surrounding CSE; encouraging everyone to think, spot and speak out against abuse and adopt a zero tolerance to adults developing inappropriate relationships with children or children developing inappropriate relationships with other children.

NWG are committed to the fight against CSE and supporting victims and their families who are subjected to child sexual exploitation. But they cannot succeed without the support of people like you.

Together, we can work to inform, educate and prevent this form of child sexual abuse within the UK.

Below are some tips on how to stay safe online:

What A Catch

Chlamydia is a common Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) and in Halton and St Helens around 1 in 14 young people are found to have Chlamydia. Most people will not know if they have this infection as there are often no symptoms. It?s easy to test for Chlamydia and treatment is simple.

Four things you need to know about Chlamydia:

1. Most people with Chlamydia don?t know that they have it as there are often no symptoms.
2. If left untreated, Chlamydia can lead to complications including severe pain and infertility.
3. It?s easy to test for Chlamydia. A urine sample is all that is needed (females can also test with a self-taken vaginal swab). Chlamydia tests are offered at all the Sexual Health clinics and the Health Improvement Team will be offering Chlamydia testing during events and road shows across St Helens and Halton. Find us on Facebook or Twitter @HaltonSexHealth (Halton) or @CaSH_StHK (St Helens) to find out where the team is this week.
4. Remember, Chlamydia is easy to treat and is less likely to lead to complications if diagnosed and treated early.

Visit our Chlamydia page for more information.
